sDS Version 8

The New Design
After months of waiting, I finally decided that I needed to redesign sDS and start using Textpattern. TXP is almost perfect. All it still needs is an option for clean URL structures like MovableType offers. So… my URLs are pretty ugly with the ID number acting like a path. Hopefully TXP will get updated with a more organized URL structure soon.
Edit
Now that zem released his extraordinary zem_rewrite plugin. TXP is just as good if not better than any CMS that I’ve ever used. My URL’s are clean and my site is ultra fast.
All in all my site is much faster now that everything is stored in and dynamically called from a database rather than sitting in static files. I really like how quickly I can post something to my site without having to wait to rebuild files… it’s like lightning.
The Changes
Well, it’s official… I’ve decided to completely and permanently remove all PSP tutorials from my site. It was a difficult decision but it was one that needed to be addressed. All of my PSP tutorials were from version 6 and 7 which are now pretty much obsolete. Plus, now that Corel bought Jasc, you can pretty much bet that PSP is going away or is going to suck even more.
The Additions
On the bright side I’ve decided to start making CSS tutorials again. I feel that I’ve learned a lot over the past few years and I can finally start to teach some of the cool stuff that I’ve discovered.
As always… this site is best viewed in Firefox, so… go get it already. Trust me… the web looks much better through Firefox.
